Verdict
Hypnosis, Laphonic and Sunset Ridge are all ones for the short list and our vote is for Hypnosis. David Barker has had a quiet season thus far and while that has to be a concern, there is an old adage that we should back sprinters in form and the Catterick winner is turned out quickly without a penalty for landing an apprentice race. Laphonic showed up well for a long way on a drop back to this trip and could have chances at this track of reversing form with Newkeylets. Sunset Ridge has taken plenty of time to come to hand but is no forlorn hope in what is essentially a weak contest. Bahamian Duke was well backed ahead of a recent Catterick outing without success. It would be no surprise to see those same faces aboard again from this afternoon's draw. Desert Hunter hails from a yard that are quietly sending out the winners so any market confidence is noted. Hypnosis is here without penalty and is likely to be short odds to land the money.
