IF I HAD HIM can defy a 6lb penalty and follow-up his recent Yarmouth success, with the dangers cited as Dhania, Stanley Rigby and Rosy Dawn. The selection won going away over 1m 6f last time and suggested that he was one to follow until beaten next. His previous run over this trip was a good effort after a break, and the return to around 1m 4f should not be a problem, so we will stick with him. Dhania has not yet broken his duck but he went very well in defeat over this trip at Bath a few days ago and from the same mark he looks a leading player. Stanley Rigby represents a yard going well, and while he is worth another try over this distance, and will handle the ground, he gives the impression that he is tripless. Rosy Dawn won from a 6lbs higher mark in August and loves to hear her hooves rattle, so she'd have to be on the shortlist, though If I Had Him is the one to beat.
