Imperium may be the answer in a tricky finale with Metropolitan Chief and Tilsworth Charlie completing the short-list. The selection has plenty of course form to his name in the dim and distant past and has been in fairly consistent form on the all-weather this year. He ran quite well on his return to racing on turf in a ladies' race at Salisbury where he finished strongly having missed the break. George Baker knows this track well and may be able to produce him with a sweeping run at just the right time. Another jockey that knows this track well is Richard Quinn and Metropolitan Chief is due to be his only ride on the card. The gelding has yet to win on grass but has made the frame on a couple of occasions and didn't shape too badly last time; it would be no surprise to see him go well. Tilsworth Charlie has just the one win to her name but she makes the frame often enough and has also run well here in days gone by. She was below par last time but may be able to bounce back and make her presence felt but our suggestion for top honours is, Imperuim.
