This may be best left to China Cherub and Peter Island with the former's racefitness giving her the edge. Cosmic Destiny is better than she showed last time but has given every indication of being in the handicapper's grip with Multahab another that may need to come down by a pound or two in order to score again. Cases can be made for Desperate Dan and Best One but neither has won on grass although the latter hasn't had all that many opportunities, One Way Ticket enters calculations as his mark has been in freefall but he's regressive and stablemate Peopleton Brook hasn't shown enough of late. Our Fugitive is more interesting on his first run for a new yard but has run his best races with more cut in the ground than he's likely to get here. Peter Island has course form and isn't on too bad a mark but his lack of a run is a concern so we're going to side with China Cherub. She was having her first run since January when finishing sixth in a better race than this at Goodwood earlier in the month and is entitled to come on for the run. The drop to this trip raises a big question but she showed plenty of pace last time and could prove effective over it and she's slipped back down to a winning mark, so China Cherub it is.
