Not the strongest of maidens on paper and we take Happy Anniversary to land this at the principal expense of Faraway Sound and Ed's Pride. Vicky Haigh¿s horses appear to be running well at present and Happy Anniversary put up an entirely noteworthy performance at Ripon last weekend. She kept on well behind a well regarded horse of Mark Johnston¿s and can gain compensation here. Faraway Sound was sent off favourite for a five furlong dash at Ripon. His breeding suggests that this sixth furlong should suit. Ed's Pride is the selection of a big five-day entry from the Kevin Ryan outfit. The market will probably offer us most clues. Mark Johnston¿s Great Charter is fairly stoutly bred. He is unquestionably going to be better with time but judging by entries, he doesn¿t look anything particularly special. Tim Easterby's horses seem to be coming to themselves so a watch in the market is advised about Ten Cents A Dance. Related to many winning sprinters, there could be a bit of value to be had. Happy Anniversary does not come from illustrious connections so at the likely odds, we¿ll take her to win this.
