Dan Tucker rates a speculative pick in this affair with Resplendent Ace and Roman History put up as alternatives. Nigel Tinkler's yard is in flying form at present so it is folly to dismiss anything even if the recent form of the horse may not appeal. Dan Tucker has struggled against the handicapper but with ground and trip that suits, the assessor has helped matters by dropping him down to a winnable mark. Resplendent Ace is yet to win a race on turf. He has performed well enough on the artificial surfaces this year and todays jockey booking looks positive. Roman History is not an obvious one. Granted, he is some way out of the handicap but he will have his favoured conditions and could challenge the places at a massive price. Joshua¿s Gold returns from hurdling. Awaken is inconsistent. Dechiper is worth another try over today¿s trip whilst Farne Island was quietly backed at long odds last time out. Bright Sun has to be watched in the market while Foreign Edition is potentially well handicapped if some of his earlier form is taken into account. Probably the most difficult race on the card to solve with doubts lingering about the majority of the field and we side with Dan Tucker.
