Veteran performers Caustic Wit and Jayanjay both have fair claims whilst we can see Hart Of Gold and Tamino going well; we'll take a chance with Malcolm Saunders gelding. His latest run just four days ago suggested that he was returning to form and he may be able to confirm that impression this afternoon. He travelled well at Bath before finding himself short of room but did run on again once in the clear; he lines up from the same mark today, relishes quick ground and looks capable of playing a hand in the finish. Jayanjay has slipped back down to a favourable mark and also looks to be coming to hand after a couple of runs for his new yard. His trainer has a decent strike rate here with an excellent return to level stakes whilst Jayanjay has tasted success here on three occasions. Nordic Light isn't badly treated if the blinkers do the trick but is passed over until showing more, Hart Of Gold is another on a fair mark and just the sort of horse that his trainer does well with whilst Tamino is a pretty consistent sort with course form and should be in the mix again. A typical sprint handicap which we hope can go to Caustic Wit.
