A wide-open contest can go the way of Kaymich Perfecto, with plenty of dangers including Rock Lobster, Estepona, Michaels Pride, Mister Arjay and Mistress Twister. Kaymich Perfecto was sent off as favourite at Leicester last time, but the drop back in trip to a mile proved his undoing as Richard Whittaker's charge was doing all his best work at the finish. Prior to that defeat, he had come from last to first to nail Rock Lobster at Redcar, and with ground conditions to suit, plus an extra two furlongs in his favour, he is taken to quickly bounce back. He is only fractionally worse off with Rock Lobster who continues to run well, and it will not be long before he finally comes good. Mister Arjay made the most of a decent handicap mark when landing an amateur riders' event at Newcastle and has more to do now, but Estepona just failed to overcome an 8lb penalty over the course and distance last month, and can make his presence felt. The three-year-old Michaels Pride gets in on bottom weight, and could be a big danger based on her battling performance at Salisbury where she was given the Frankie Dettori treatment to hold on. Kevin Darley will have to pump away if she is to repeat the feat, but off her current mark it would be no surprise if she were to take a hand in the finish. Mistress Twister has plenty of weight and a low draw, otherwise she would have been considered more, and all in all, the percentage call has to be Kaymich Perfecto.
