A tricky start to proceedings can see Glendening go close on his first run for Dandy Nicholls, with Olivair, Solo Star and Drawn Out others to note. The market normally sorts the wheat out from the chaff in these type of events, and it will be no surprise if Glendening lines up more fancied than most. The son of Mark Of Esteem appreciated the drop to this class when a close second to Cumbrae at Wolverhampton eight days ago, after which he left Clive Brittain to join Dandy Nicholls. A look back through the juvenile's form reveals that he ran fairly well against Marcus Andronicus at York in May, and new connections will be surely disappointed if he does not pay his way sooner rather than later. The only negative is the low draw, but hopefully Adrian Nicholls will get him across to the far rail quickly. Solo Star has to give weight away to her rivals after scoring at Redcar last month, and she is closely matched with Olivair on a couple of pieces of form. Drawn Out comes from a shrewd yard but he will have to improve on his poor effort in first-time blinkers at Thirsk. Owners Biscuits drops to this grade for the first time but her form has been poor to say the least. As stated, the market should be watched for the rest, but we return to Glendening as the answer.
