Cape Royal would have an obvious chance if able to reproduce anything like his best form but Milton Bradley has been struggling for winners for some time now so he looks best left out of calculations and a safer option looks to be DESPERATE DAN, who gets the vote ahead of Stamford Blue. The last mentioned has been highly tried in some decent handicaps of late and should appreciate the drop in class today. Doctor Hilary is not as good as he once was when he raced in Dubai but still retains ability and has to be of interest in this grade, while Richard Hannon's Dazed And Amazed is another that takes a big drop in class and has to be considered in such a lowly contest. Marginal preference though is for Desperate Dan, a stable companion of Doctor Hilary, who comes into this on the back of a win in a similar contest at Great Leighs and he is taken to follow up that success here.
