Majestic Lady ran a promising race on her debut on soft ground at Sandown and the Barry Hills-trained filly has to be of interest if handling the faster ground today but BRIEF ENCOUNTER sets a decent standard and gets the vote with Barnezet rated the pick of the remainder. The selection has been placed in both starts so far, latterly when a close second behind Especially Special at Great Leighs and a reproduction of the form he has shown so far may suffice for Andrew Balding's colt. There are a couple of interesting newcomers in the field including Ed Vaughan's Fulham Broadway and Pat Eddery's Private Passion but a bigger threat is likely to come from Barnezet. Richard Hannon's filly has shown respectable form in her outings so far and has to be respected but Brief Encounter has solid claims and is preferred.
