In depth

Verdict

Not a particularly strong maiden and PARC DES PRINCES is our pick with Molnaya and Super Fourteen as the alternatives. Parc Des Princes was well backed ahead of a Kempton maiden but failed to sparkle once the gate was open. With Andrew Balding not noted for first time out winners, such interest was particularly noteworthy and now switched to turf, we are prepared to give him another chance. Molnaya was one of the more expensive purchases in the field. On breeding the trip shouldn't be a problem and the market is watched. Super Fourteen will be the benchmark that the assessor will be using in order to evaluate the form. Captain Kallis does not look good enough. Echo Forest was 50/1 on debut and was only noteworthy for unseating rider on the way to post.Tobizzy is now eligible for handicaps but stays in maidens for the time being. Viking Rock hails from a yard with a good record with their flat runners though they are yet to have a juvenile winner this term. Not a race to get too involved in but Parc Des Princes gets the verdict.
