Typical fare by the track's standards and we will take WHO'S WINNING to see off Conjecture and Miss Poppy. There is little doubt of the ordinary nature of this contest but with course form at a premium, we side with Brendan Powell's charge. Granted, his recent form has been modest to say the least but the handicapper has reacted accordingly - dropping him to 55 when he had actually won off 64 last term. Conjecture is a rare raider from the Robin Bastiman stable. His latest run can be safely ignored as he stumbled badly at the start but on a return to his Ayr form and with fast ground obtaining, it would be no surprise to see him go close. Miss Poppy has a fair draw. She put up a fair effort at Folkestone in August before a no show at Salisbury next time out. Namu, does not look the most straight forward of creatures. Nevertheless, she is remarkedly well handicapped on some of her form with Barry Hills. Rhapsilian is an infrequent winner and needs to leave behind a 0-8 strike rate on the turf. Kyllachy Storm won a six furlong contest on soft going at Goodwood. That was a maiden success although clearly not unexpected if betting patterns were to be believed. Gioacchino is very much bred with sprinting in mind. Unspectacular with David Barker, Ron Harris is a past master of getting the best out of other's castoffs. All You Need is better on the artificial surfaces. Melt was just touched off the other day and has to be respected as she is at least threatening to go close. Bred to better over further, she hasn't been that far away when tried previously at this track and connections will be keen to win for future breeding purposes. Who's Winning is recommended to minimum stakes.
