Five of the last ten renewals have gone to favourites, with the other five races going to horses no bigger than 10/1, so the market may have its say however the best northern form is held by NICOLA'S DREAM who is selected ahead of Bellemere, Jaahiz and Maverik. Richard Fahey's daughter of Alhaarth shaped with promise on debut (form worked out well) before another solid run behind stablemate Sir Reginald. That form has a solid feel to it and although she would probably be better off racing against the girls she should give backers a good run for their money. Bellemere has half a length to find on their run last time but the booking of Jamie Spencer catches the eye, stablemate Silver Writing ran ok in the valuable seller here last month, whilst newcomer Set Me Free is out of a dam who won at two so although one would expect improvement next year he is certainly not discarded lightly. Beyaz Villas failed to win a Haydock seller last time but whilst his stablemate winner Dolly Parton is no mug he needs to improve. Of more interest then is Maverik who shaped with lots of promise on his debut at Carlisle considering he is bred for much further. The obvious danger though is Jaahiz who has filled second spot on both his runs to date. He drops back to six furlongs today which looks a good move given the way he finished off at Doncaster and for the yard who know every bit of juvenile form inside out he rates a big player. A chance is taken on Nicola's Dream.
