Man Of Action is clearly going to be hard to beat but perhaps CITRUS STAR can prove up to the task; Haatheq and Greyfriarschorista are rated best of the rest. Our selection will be having his third start of the year here following a successful juvenile campaign, the highlight of which being a Listed second at Doncaster. This term he's been stepped up to seven furlongs and it looked to stretch him on his comeback but perhaps he needed that; last time at Epsom he fairly flew home from a long way back and as the form of that race has worked out he's worth chancing off the same mark. Man Of Action is an unexposed, progressive sort who could quite easily make up into a pattern-class performer. This will be his first start away from Newmarket but he'll enjoy the stiff finish and the manner of his handicap success off 88 last time suggests there's more to come; an 8lb rise may underestimate him and he'll be hard to beat. Greyfriarschorista is better than he showed last time when missing the break and should be judged on a fine third at Royal Ascot, although the handicapper may have him after that. Haatheq is up another couple of pounds following a Doncaster second but the drop back to seven furlongs can help negate that and he's progressing well, while Bohemian Melody is yet another who has scope to continue improving after going down to a well-treated rival last time. Rule Maker seemingly had little excuse at Chester but could well improve for this more conventional track, Side Glance has been going well in similar races off this mark and deserves to pick up a prize and Burghley is in good hands but Citrus Star makes most appeal at the likely prices.
