Rosecliff would not be without a chance on his reappearance but without a recent run it is hard to be confident about the claims of Heather Dalton's gelding, while Halla San has more to do off a 7lb higher mark than when scoring at Goodwood last time and preference is for Samurai Way. The selection has been lightly campaigned by Luca Cumani, clearly handles cut in the ground and looks to be potentially well treated for his debut in a handicap. Gee Dee Nen is a consistent performer and should again be thereabouts but may, once more have to settle for a minor role. Stretton is similarly consistent but may also be a shade high in the weights now, while Dream Prize has given little sign of encouragement in two starts this term. Luna Landing was an easy winner at Catterick when stepped up to this distance at Catterick on Tuesday and has to be of interest but preference is for the lightly raced Samurai Way, who gets the vote.
