Pass It On is taken to repel the challenge of the Richards pair Bay Swift and The Abbots Habit in a moderate looking start to proceedings. Jonjo O'Neill and Tony McCoy teamed up to land this event 12 months ago with Darasim, and now rely on Pass It On who was sent off as an odds-on favourite on his last outing at Hereford in April but was outbattled by Briscoe Place, going down by a head. Given time to recover and strengthen up, he should make amends here with the softer ground and stiff track likely to play to his strengths. Bay Swift looked held when falling three out on his debut at Kelso in May, and is another that has been off since. Hopefully he will have forgotten that mishap, and with Tony Dobbin to guide him round, should be prominent. His stablemate The Abbots Habit looks one for the future but still makes more appeal than the remainder, with preference on this occasion for Pass It On.
