Thai Vango can shrug off a penalty at the expense of Spivitus, with Double Eagle and Astorvale worth a mention. Irish point-to-point winner Thai Vango beat just four rivals on his British debut at Perth in September, but did it well in making all, and despite having to shoulder a penalty here, can once again make experience count. Spivitus has had three outings already, and despite being placed last time, gives the impression that he will be one to follow when sent over timber. Double Eagle hails from a stable that prepares its bumper runners well, while the same comment applies to Astorvale. Cardinal Spirit is by Selkirk so should appreciate any give in the ground, but is a half-brother to several winners of around a mile on the Flat, so is best watched on his debut. Thai Vango has already shown us what he can do, and a follow-up is very much on the cards.
