Pattern Mark's presence may ensure that ALLANNAH ABU goes off at a backable price and Sir Mark Prescott's filly looks to be the one to beat. She battled on gamely to win at Catterick having chased home a subsequent winner at Brighton on her penultimate start and may be able to score under her penalty before an inevitable rise in the weights. She did benefit from getting across to the stands' rail on that occasion but she's well bred and it will be disappointing if she can't progress further. Pattern Mark appears to be her main rival following his win at Newcastle but this looks tougher and it remains to be seen whether he can build on that career best performance. Spinning Waters is consistent but opposable, Rosewood Lad looks ordinary whilst Al Shababiya needs to improve for this step up in trip and this looks set to go to Allannah Abu.
