Verdict
Mick Channon has won this prize three times in the past seven years but Highlife Dancer is passed over in favour of SIXTY ROSES with Timothy T and Beating Harmony newcomers to note. The latter is related to a number of winners, including as juveniles, but it would be no surprise if Beating Harmony were to need this initial experience whilst Timothy T makes less appeal on paper as the first foal of a modest performer but Marco Botti's juveniles have performed well this season so it will be interesting to see what the market makes of his chance. Highlife Dancer proved disappointing at Warwick having shaped well on the cambers of Epsom first time out but the rider reported that the gelding ran too freely and was green so it may be worth giving him another chance given the trainer's record in this contest. We are, however, going to stick with John Dunlop's filly who achieved little on debut but produced an excellent run at Doncaster despite still looking in need of the experience and Sixty Roses is fancied to make it third time lucky.
