MAHA DUBAI is taken to land the finale from a field of 16 who are set to face the starter, but we also like the claims of Moonshine Creek and Sudden Impulse. Mark Johnston's filly has been the model of consistency with three successive runners up spots, including in a better handicap than this, and should find her way into the winners' enclosure sooner rather than later. She's well in at the weights, and shouldn't find any problems with the ground. She may try and settle just off the pace. Sudden Impulse will need to defy top weight to win, but managed to do so last time in a Musselburgh handicap. It's a long way to come from York for just one runner though, unless there's confidence within the Brown yard. Moonshine Creek rewarded backers last time out with an overdue success in a lower grade handicap than this, with Chris Catlin kicking in the turbo early and saying catch me if you can. He gets the ride again, and is nicely weighted. It's a very open contest, but we'll stay on the side of Maha Dubai.
