    In depth

    Verdict

SILENT WONDER showed enough on debut to suggest that, in these conditions, he can come good here at the main expense of Black Attack, while Boho Chic can improve. Bottomless ground is the key here and Silent Wonder's sire Diktat relished plenty of cut underfoot, so there is every reason to believe that the colt, who went well on good to soft on debut, can improve both for that outing and also for the extra juice in the ground here. Any improvement would make Robert Cowell's juvenile tough to beat. Black Attack has plenty of racecourse experience compared to most here but is still a maiden after four starts, and has not shown huge improvement, although he does also handle cut. Although the form figures read that Mr Freddy was eighth on debut, he wasn't beaten far on soft ground at Thirsk and he looked very likely to improve for that outing so he may well finish much closer here. Boho Chic is another who can come on well for a decent debut at Warwick in June, and being by Kyllachy she should handle conditions pretty well. Even so, Silent Wonder is the one for us here.
