This is the richest race on the card, and we'll side with HOH MIKE, in preference to Law Lord and Francesca d'Gorgio. Michael Bell's runner has the highest official rating, but can defy top weight from a high draw, and the ground shouldn't be a concern. It's over a year since he won a race, but he should be far too good for a number of these, and perhaps all of them. Law Lord, the Godolphin horse, has won among listed company in France. He's had just one run here since spending the winter in Dubai, and although well down the field, it was a close finish. He encountered some trouble in running too, and today has blinkers on for the first time. Francesca d'Gorgio, the Jeremy Nosedea runner, has yet to repay connections for the quarter of a million dollars it cost to buy her. Lightly raced, she played up in the stalls on her only other run this year, before setting the pace but then tailing off. Interesting looking event this, in which we favour Hoh Mike.
