        Verdict

For this lowly maiden, with plenty of exposed types, we'll side with the less experienced VIENNA AFFAIR ahead of Gioacchino and Enlightened. The selection has only had a couple of runs, but although not coming on after a decent debut, did have a gap of 3 months between runs. The cut in the ground shouldn't be a problem. Gioacchino is one of the more exposed types, but still seems to be on an upward curve. Runner up in his last couple outings, this could be his race. Again, the ground shouldn't be a problem. Enlightened looks the pick of the newcomers; a 67 thousand guineas purchase, the Gosden runner has a decent pedigree, but could be anything. This contest comes with the usual caveat of check the market given the debutantes, but we¿ll tentatively side with Vienna Affair.
