Verdict

The ground would appear to have frightened people off here, and Marfooq seems to have been handed a simple opporunity of losing his maiden tag. Ed Dunlop's colt is officially rated 78 and his second at Chepstow last time reads better now as his conqueror, Unicorn Reward, has since gone on to complete a hat trick. Of his two rivals, it is hard to believe the unraced five-year-old, Recording Session, will be up to his standard, so the obvious forecst selection is John Gosden's Love That Benny. He was very green on his debut at Ripon, finishing third behind Total Devotion last week. He seems sure to have learned from that, but Marfooq seems by far the safest option.
