tracked leaders, pressed leader from 2f out, every chance inside final furlong, unable to quicken close on
keen, held up, ridden and headway over 1f out, never dangerous
held up towards rear, ridden over 3f out, weakened over 2f out
held up in touch, ridden and switched right over 2f out, hung left from over 1f out, kept on under strong pressure to lead post
set steady pace, ridden over 2f out, headed post

This looks something of a formality for Seattle Express, with Highgate Hill fancied for the forecast spot. The latter is dropping in class after three fairly poor efforts, but his fourth in maiden company here at the beginning of the season reads well in the context of this race, and the step up in trip could well suit Mark Tompkins' gelding. However, Seattle Express is the clear form pick and David Elsworth's gelding is hard to oppose. He made a winning debut on the polytrack at Lingfield in March, and although he has not yet added to that on turf, he has been running reasonably well of late and put up a good show when a close third to Jools in a Sandown claimer last time out. This appears to be a much easier opportunity, and we take Seattle Express to land this under Richard Quinn.
