Verdict
Creative, Ernie Owl and Minwir could be the three to concentrate on here and the vote goes to Ernie Owl. Brian Meehan's colt made his debut in the Coventry Stakes and he wasn't totally disgraced finishing in midfield. This race is obviously so much easier and whilst we are yet to see how good he is, this $160,000 American-bred colt is fancied to put up a bold display. Minwir looks the most interesting of the newcomers and coming from a stable who know how to ready a newcomer, he should be monitored in the betting. Creative improved from his first to second runs and looks to be going the right way, whilst Cathedral Walk made a pleasing debut but this race looks more competitive. Taladavil and Diamond Lass both shaped with plenty of promise on their debuts and each should be wiser here, however Ernie Owl is fancied to take the honours.
