Strobe, President Dan and Madiba are the three to concentrate on in this handicap and the vote is given to Strobe. The selection has been in good form of late and he seems more at home over this kind of trip, as he proved when running a blinder at Kempton last time over 2m, chasing home Champagne Shadow. He is dropped slightly in distance today but this is still far enough to bring his stamina into play and he is forwarded as a confident choice. President Dan won well here last time when beating Lapina, however his previous form is moderate and it remains to be seen whether this step-up in trip will suit. Madiba was a fair second behind Zonic Boom at Wolverhampton last time, but he had been well beaten here previously, albeit in a race that has worked out quite well. Mister Completely is in good form at the moment so he looks to have solid place prospcts, but we prefer the claims of Strobe who can land this opener.
