A competitive handicap gets proceedings underway, and there is very little between the leading lights, but the principals look to be Arabiyah, Plane Painter and Aypeeyes, with the vote given to Arabiyah. The selection was a fair third behind Kingscape last time out, looks sure to be suited by this slightly longer trip and with her yard continuing in good form she gets the nod. Plane Painter rates the main danger as he has dropped to a handy mark and was a fair fifth behind Monte Alto last time out. The booking of William Carson catches the eye and he should be watched in the market. Aypeeyes is another worthy of respect on his latest second behind Lazy Friend, but he is creeping up the weights without winning and looks opposeable on that basis. The King And I is game and consistent and is sure to run his race but is hard to win with while Love Brothers will appreciate the return to this faster ground and could go well at a price. For the winner we are happy to return to the unexposed Arabiyah.
