Fitzroy Crossing gets the vote over Monsieur Reynard and Cracking Nick, with Call For Liberty, Reel Man and The Lady Granuaile all worth a mention. Fitzroy Crossing missed the break when narrowly beaten by Yem Kinn at Sandown the time before last, and was again fancied when ultimately disappointing at Ayr next time. The rain-softened ground may have contributed to that defeat though, and he is worth another chance on this faster going. Monsieur Reynard posted a promising effort when third on his Salisbury debut. That too was on soft ground, and this Mill Reef entry can only improve. Cracking Nick makes his Turf bow, and at least has a couple of runs under his belt, while Call For Liberty was fancied at Ayr and is better than his finishing position suggests. The Lady Granuaile also hails from a stable with plenty of juvenile ammunition as does the other newcomer Reel Man, related to plenty of sprinters. Without being ultra-confident, we shall rely on Fitzroy Crossing.
