Aaim For Applause looks to have been found a really good opportunity here and he can land this event at the main expense of Hitchens and Jasmines Hero. This 2-year-old colt from the Mick Channon yard finished third behind the well-regarded Francesca D'Gorgio at Newmarket last time. He meets nothing of that calibre here today and he is given one more chance to get his head in front. Hitchens showed promise on his debut at Sandown and he is sure to benefit from the experience as he did run quite green that day. Jasmines Hero looks held by our selection from a prrevious run at Ascot, so he will need to have improved to turn the tables this evening. Mr Keppel has a Gimcrack Stakes entry but he finished behind the selection last time and again he will need to step-up on that effort if he is to get his head in front. All of which returns us to Aaim For Applause as the one to beat.
