Royal Melbourne must be a danger but a whopping 14lb rise in the weights makes life tougher and so the vote goes to Regency Red ahead of Boz. The last-named is another horse who comes here on the back of an impressive win, but like Royal Melbourne, he has been subjected to some harsh actions from the handicapper - a 10lb raise in the weights. Carr Hall is consistent but this former Tim Easterby inmate is hard to assess due to his recent runs coming in Jersey, most notably when winning the Jersey Derby. Silent Beauty is one who has promised to deliver more than he actually has, however it is Regency Red who gets our vote. Mark Brisbourne's gelding comes here on the back of a couple of fair runs at Musselburgh and should be respected now back on the all-weather. He should get the strong pace that he needs and with Seb Sanders on board once again, a bold run should be expected, and he gets our nomination.
