There are some interesting newcomers lining up for the opener on the card including Confront, Mazara and Garland but Fool's Wildcat sets a decent standard and he looks the one they all have to beat. The selection has shown a consistent level of form in all three starts, earning a rating of 82 in the process and he will be tough to beat on the evidence of those starts. Boot Strap Bill and Sweet Hope have both shown promise from limited opportunities and have to be respected but a bigger threat is likely to come from one of the newcomers. The Barry Hills-trained Tourist is bred to be useful and should appreciate the fast ground, as should Sir Michael Stoute's Confront. John Dunlop's Mazara is likely to be all the better for the run and, while a market move for Garland would be of interest, a safer bet looks to be Fool's Wildcat.
