Lord Peter Flint made a promising start to his racing career when a creditable fifth in a Newmarket maiden last month and has to be respected but the faster ground here may not suit as much and Brian Meehan's colt looks worth leaving out of calculations with preference for Mountain Pride, who gets the vote ahead of Fiume. The last mentioned is a well bred son of Medicean and related to several winners so could be of interest on his debut. Roger Charlton's Lady Selkirk disappointed on her debut and may be better than that showing would suggest but he may prefer a softer surface, while Amanda Perrett's Mystery Sail may do better over further. Bathwick Man has shown signs of ability in two starts but a safer bet looks to be John Dunlop's Mountain Pride who ran promisingly first time out and the yard's youngsters normally improve with racing.
