In depth

Verdict

Olympian Odyssey finished third in the 2,000 Guineas when with Barry Hills but still only has one win to his name and may not be as good as he once was; however, he still rates the pick of the three Godolphin runners in the race ahead of Desert Authority and Arqaam but the vote goes to Multidimensional. Henry Cecil's colt was good value for his Group 2 success at Deauville when last seen in August 2006 for which he escapes a penalty now and a chance is taken on his fitness on his belated return. South African raider Oracle West has been highly tried in Group 1 contests and has to be respected in this company but is another coming back after an absence. Neither Great Hawk nor New Seeker make much appeal in this grade and a chance is taken with Multidimensional.
