Two beaten favourites, two 'Sir's' doing battle, and the noble vote goes to Conduit ahead of Altitude, with Overlin and interesting newcomer to consider. Sir Michael Stoute's Conduit could not reward favourite backers last time out but still ran a creditable race at Kempton. He seems to be improving with his racing and is fancied to get off the mark at the third time of asking. One of two filly's in the race, Sir Mark Prescott's Altitude looks sure to be prominent in the betting. Second over course and distance earlier this month, she has shaped with plenty of promise in all four starts to date and will surely be winning soon. Lacala can be expected to improve on that debut run, whilst Caltire should be monitored for market support in relation to stablemate Tenjack King. He has run two good races to date and rates a threat. Mark Johnston knows how to ready a newcomer and the betting should help with the chances of this son of Gone West, however Conduit is fancied to win at the third attempt.
