Spunger was good value for her success at Chepstow last time and Harry Dunlop's filly has to be respected but, a 6lb rise and switch to the Polytrack may prevent her from following up so preference is for Libre, who gets the vote over Bethanys Boy. The last mentioned had to work hard to win over the extended mile here earlier this month and a 4lb rise for that narrow success may prevent Declan Daly's gelding from completing a hat-trick. Casablanca Minx has shown improved form of late but has paid the penalty at the hands of the handicapper as a result, while Kansas Gold has slipped to an attractive mark but has yet to prove himself over this far. Odessa Star ran better at Bath last time and has place claims but the vote goes to Frank Jordan's Libre who was good value for his win at Chepstow last time, should not mind the return to the Polytrack and he is taken to defy the 6lb penalty.
