A chance is taken on Lord Of Dreams to beat two unexposed types in Jeudi and Keel in this 7f maiden. David Arbuthnot doesn't have many runners on the all-weather and, in truth, it's slightly disappointing Lord Of Dreams has failed to break his maiden tag after eights starts His latest effort, arguably his best, came over an extended mile and, sensibly, his trainer has brought him back to seven furlongs. Fergal Lynch has been re-united with the gelding and an added bonus is the horse has a perfect draw in stall one, vital with the turn less than 100 yards from the start. Jamie Osborne has his horses in great trim and has already bagged a couple of winners this week. His runner, Keel, is coming back off his break - a deliberate ploy by Osborne so it is not necessarily seen as a handicap. For Keel to win here, he would have needed to have improved from two to three as the pick of his juvenile form isn't good enough, but that is possible, even though Robert Winston prefers to ride Pab Special for Karl Burke. Michael Fenton takes over. Jeudi is an interesting contender. Sir Mark Prescott's runner was beaten a long way by a possible Listed runner in Miss Highjinks at Lingfield and the market, always an important aspect with this yard, is an important issue. Having healthy horses is vital for winners and none are running better than Karl Burke's. With a team of 20 to run before the grass season starts, his Pab Special has the highest BHB rating. The son of City On The Hill was noted making late headway against Lunar Express over 7f but may require an extra furlong. Pab Special could well start favourite but the nod is given to Lord Of Dreams to improve David Arbuthnot's impressive strike rate.
