WELCOME APPROACH gets the not here just in front of rivals One More Round and Feeling Fresh. The selection is two from six on the polytrack with both victories coming in the last five outings and over course and distance. There's a piece of Kempton form that also stands up from his penultimate run when fifth of 11 with the winner that day going on to win. The draw is slightly against him here but he still looks the one to beat. It's interesting to see that One More Round is taking a step down in trip after just failing over seven and 10 furlongs recently. David Evans' charge landed back to back victories in the summer over seven furlongs and used to be competitive in much better races than this. Certainly to be respected but you feel he needs that extra furlong. Feeling Fresh for Paul Green has improved from his last two efforts despite last time running on the fibresand at Southwell which didn't really suit his style. Here the three-year-old gelding returns to the site of a distance win back in December 2007. A win at Haydock in the not two distance past adds to his claims. Brazilian Brush has one of those rare commodities in races of this standard - winning form. Milton Bradley claimed this horse after an impressive win at Great Leighs on his latest appearance. Like that performance he'll have to give weight to some of the main protagonists but has proved that isn't necessarily a problem. Forrest Star could be one at a bigger price after a string of consistent performances on the turf however polytrack might not suit so we give the verdict to Welcome Approach.
