In depth
Verdict
Eliza Doolittle showed improved form from her debut outing when a creditable fourth behind Brushing in a Yarmouth maiden last month and James Fanshawe's filly has to be respected but a better option looks to be FIAMMA D'ORO, who gets the verdict ahead of Silk Gallery. Eric Alston's filly has performed better in maidens on a soft surface of late and has gone well here before so she has to be respected but, after 13 starts, she is becoming expensive to follow and may be best watched. Lhashan was well held on her debut but Michael Jarvis has his string in good form at present so she cannot be discounted but she will need to step up considerably on her debut effort if she is to trouble the judge. Gurteen Diamond was very disappointing here last time and is hard to recommend after that performance and of more interest may be South African, who ran creditably on her debut here over five furlongs last month and should not be inconvenienced over an extra furlong today. The vote though goes to David Myerscough's Fiamma D'oro, who has run well in both starts in Ireland, including on the Polytrack at Dundalk first time up, and she has solid claims of opening her account today.
