Granny McPhee and Hits Only Cash are likely to be popular with punters but at a price we will take a chance on EASTERLY BREEZE. The Lucy Young-trained gelding returned to form here with a decent effort from the same mark of 62 in a 1m 4f handicap last month and is dropped back in trip now, which looks a positive. This surface clearly suits, the blinkers and tongue strap are also retained, and with the yard having had a winner on Wednesday there is a little more confidence that this particular inmate can go very well at a price. Granny McPhee has to contend with a 7lb rise for scoring here last week, and her previous form from this sort of mark is none-too-encouraging. Hits Only Cash is a fellow course and distance scorer who is 4lbs higher than his best win of recent times, though if you look far enough back on his CV, he has won off higher pitches and he is not totally ruled out. King Of Connacht is another who acts around here but is also 4lbs higher than his best win, making him no more than competitive. Our Kes is another who may well be involved in the shake-up, especially if they go a decent clip here, and he too has won from higher marks in the past. With the Paul Howling string in fine shape he can go close, but a chance is taken on Easterly Breeze.
