    Verdict

    Just the four the runners turn up for this handicap and if CALCULATING chooses to come here instead of going to Lingfield on bonfire night he should score just ahead of Capable Guest while Eseej looks best of the remaining pair. After a good couple of results on the turf in his last two starts the pick returns to his favoured surface racing off a mark two pounds lighter than when not beaten far at this track in July. It will be interesting to see how he handles this small field but a repeat of that last all-weather performance should be enough. Capable Guest is just two pounds worse off than when last scoring and while he handles this surface he is yet to try this stamina test. Eseej also tries this trip for the first time and definitely didn't stay two miles on his latest start He should last this far but doesn't look well treated. Baltimore Patriot at least is proven over this trip and has an outside chance on the pick of his form but this race adds up in the favour of Calculating.
