In this maiden Ralph Beckett's KING OF WINDSOR sets a fair standard and is given our vote over Sir Michael Stoute's newcomer Top Tigress and Mark Johnston's Egyptology. It would appear that the pick is well thought of judging by the prices he's gone off at on his last two starts and ran better than the result suggested on his all-weather debut last time. He's bred to go well on this surface and only a slight improvement should see him home. Top Tigress is related to plenty of winners and looks bred for this trip. She should act on this surface with no problems but given her yard's runners often need their first outings we'll take a watching brief this time. Egyptology has a good looking bloodline and is sure to improve on his second start with the market offering a further guide to his chances and Layla's Lad can't be ruled out completely after a solid first effort. This race looks better than it first appeared and King Of Windsor can make experince count.
