We open this eight-race extravaganza with a tight looking apprentice handicap where title chasing David Probert can get a winner on Ron Harris' TITUS GENT, who is on top form at the moment, that's in preference to the consistent Weet A Surprise and course specialist Joyeux. A course and distance winner in a seller three starts ago the selection has held his form well since returning to the handicap ranks and put in a decent effort when finding just one too good off this mark last time. He is the form pick and this top pilot can get him home. Weet A Surprise likes it at this track winning four times from 12 starts. She ran well under this burden when not quite lasting home over a longer trip here on her latest start and a similar effort will have her close. Joyeaux was expected to do better last time and is still racing off his last winning rating so has to be respected while Kheley ran well in a seller on her latest start and looks weighted for place claims. A tough start to a long evening but Titus Gent has the most appealing profile.
