HITS ONLY CASH will need some luck in running however he might be worth chancing in a tricky finale; The Grey One and Zennerman may prove to be the biggest dangers. Jeff Pearce's gelding got bogged down in the mud at Ayr when last seen so he will be happier now returned to this familiar surface. His hold-up style of racing means that he needs the race to pan out in his favour but there looks likely to be a decent gallop on and he should go close. Frederik Tylicki looks an interesting jockey booking for course winner Zennerman, Theme Catcher is 5lb lower in the handicap for this first run with a visor on, whilst Blues Minor is on a good mark but is not ideally berthed for a horse that likes to race prominently. The Grey One is a hold-up horse like the selection so he will need the gaps to come at the right time, whilst a market move would be interesting for the Alan McCabe-trained Ardent Prince following a succession of poor efforts however the handicapper is painfully slow to relent. The step up in trip may unlock some further improvement from Royal Crest who just has a Southwell win to his name so far, whilst King's Icon is consistent but is now looking high enough in the weights. A tightly-knit handicap to conclude the card, with the tentative vote going to Hits Only Cash.
