A very modest start to the action at Thirsk and OPUS DEI is only a speculative selection. Dance For Julie has sound claims at this level and, along with Royal Record, is respected as a live danger. Kintyre Bay is most interesting of the newcomers and is worth noting for interest from the betting ring. Royal Record posted her best effort to date when second in a similar race at Ripon three weeks ago. She seems to be getting the hang of things just now and may represent good value for a place at least. Dance For Julie has finished in the money each time she has raced and deserves a change of fortune. The return to six furlongs should suit and, from what is traditionally a good draw; Pat Haslam's filly ought to be thereabouts again. However, Opus Dei is equally on the upgrade and, as this appears to be a tad easier than the Newmarket maiden he contested when he was last seen out; the son of Oasis Dream can be a solid fancy to make his third visit to a racecourse a lucky one.
