Verdict
Jamarjo made an encouraging debut in heavy ground in a Nottingham maiden when second to Running Mate but she was well held by the winner that day and may have been flattered by that so a safer option looks to be MUSIC MAESTRO, with Fourth Generation looking the pick of the remainder. The selection kept on well in a soft ground maiden at Goodwood on his debut for Barry Hills and the son of Oratorio has solid claims on his second start of opening his account in what does not look the strongest of maidens. Ed Dunlop's Chandrayaan is more experienced than most of these but needs to improve on all known form and of more interest may be some of the newcomers. Howard Johnson's son of Hawk Wing, Ragetti, and Richard Fahey's Layla's Dancer, a son of Danehill Dancer, are both of interest but the pick of the newcomers may be Fourth Generation. Alan Swinbank's colt, a son of Kris Kin, is bred to be useful and should handle the conditions but it is hard to get away from Music Maestro, who gets the vote.
