A tough start to the card and from a shortlist of MONSIEUR CHEVALIER, Angel's Pursuit and In Some Respect we will side with Monsieur Chevalier. Richard Hannon looks to hold all the answers to this contest as he sends both Monsieur Chevalier and Angel's Pursuit to post and of course the market may well be a useful guide to their respective chances. However, Monsieur Chevalier has won all of his races apart from the two Group 2 races he has contested. He won a Group 3 contest two starts ago and if he handles the surface on his first run on the all-weather then he should take plenty of beating. His stablemate looks his biggest rival as he has got some useful form but he has yet to really prove himself in Group company and he will need to improve to get his head in front. In Some Respect is still a maiden but he put up a good show in a Group 1 contest at the Curragh back in July and if he can build on that he would have a big chance, especially as this is only his fifth run. Godolphin send Chaperno to post here and he should prove best of the rest. He does look to have a bit to find with the principles though and we will stick with Monsieur Chevalier to lead them home.
