        Verdict

        The consistent Ballygriffin Kid is selected here in preference to Cherished Number and King Nicholas, while Sorbiesharry is also respected but is a law unto himself and is for the brave only in this company. King Nicholas was given far too much to do when he finished behind Sorbiesharry over course and distance last week and should be capable to reverse the form on these terms with more forceful handling. He is respected and is well worth considering as an each-way option. As is Cherished Number, who arrives here at the top of his game. However, he has crept up the weights of late and, as he has been held off this sort of mark in the past, he now looks vulnerable. Therefore, we prefer Ballygriffin Kid, who has been banging on the door of late and has been found a reasonable opportunity to end what has been a frustrating run for him of late.
