Rod Millman seems to have his team well forward, so Glenmuir may be up to the task first time, with Grantley Adams and Cool Creek other obvious contenders. Although Cumbrae has had a run out here behind Makabul, it is in essence a guessing game as to which of these has the most to offer. However, with trainer Rod Millman already having won the Brocklesby with Phantom Whisper, we can assume that any youngsters he sends out at this stage of the season will be forward enough to do themselves justice, and so Glenmuir gets the vote. On the dam's side, he is bred to get much further in time but may well be sharp enough today. Grantley Adams is a half-brother to lots of winners including Wannabe Around so it seems certain that he will open his account soon, while Cool Creek hails from a stable that always has a plethora of juvenile winners. There was a 20-1 winner of this race last year so nothing is certain, but Glenmuir, the mount of Alan Munro, is the suggestion.
